Museum Thurn + Taxis
(Thurn- und Taxismuseum)
Located in the complex of the Thurn and Taxis Palace, the museum shows a great collection of jewellery, porcelain and furnishings that belonged to the wealthiest dynasty in Germany for a long period.

Museum Obermünster

This museum in the Church St. Ulrich accommodates a great collection of church treasures. In addition, temporary exhibitions are carried out regularly.

Domschatzmuseum

When you visit St. Peter's Church, the Domschatzmuseum where church treasures, monstrances and tapestries are displayed might be worth a visit as well.

Museum St. Ulrich

In addition to the two museums of the diocese Regensburg, the Domschatzmuseum and the museum Obermünster, there is another museum with church treasures in the Gothic church St. Ulrich.

Imperial Diet Museum
(Reichstagsmuseum)

The Reichstagsmuseum in the Old City Hall accommodates the precious Imperial Hall as well as the torture chambers.

Historical Museum
(Historisches Museum)

In the Historical Museum at the Dachauplatz, there are exhibitions from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages, covering mainly the Roman period when Regensburg was flourishing.

(Kepler Gedächtnishaus)

This house in Keplerstr. 5 is the house where the famous astronomer Johannes Kepler used to live.

Document Neupfarrplatz
The Neupfarrplatz used to be the area where the Jewish community lived in the Middle Ages. In the 16th century, however, all Jews were expelled from the city and the area around the Neupfarrplatz was burnt. Now, the Document Neupfarrplatz explains the history of the square and you can also see a Roman fortress, Jewish houses as well as Gothic and Romanesque synagogues.
